along with several dads, I took seven four-year-olds camping for the first time. And it just so happened that the spot we chose, which I will

remind you, we are in California, which is in the middle of a mega drought, in the tail end of fire

season, the spot we chose, it rained for 12 hours. This was, again, a one-day excursion,

so basically it rained for most of the time we were there and well, well, well into the night.

The kids, of course, were not phased. They had a blast.

The dads, we were definitely phased.

But we made it work. It's one of those experiences you'll remember.

But I did feel like a little bit like Charlie Brown, you know, where he has that just rain cloud that follows him around wherever he goes.

It was just really preposterous, this super dry, parched place we literally chose.
