And that's still the best way to go about it.

Everybody is bickering about conference strength, bias, which teams are

overrated or underrated, and it makes sense because this year has seen more parity than we have

in a long time in the sport. But if you take off your allegiance cap and you just look at how each team

plays, I do think we can find some legitimate answers. If you're asking which conference has the most

elite teams, the answer is somewhat muddy there. There may be no elite teams in college football,

but the closest, in my opinion, is Oregon. And if you agree with me on that, it's hard to not say

Ohio State is elite as well, considering how their game went on the road at Oregon in a really close loss.

So the conference with the most elite teams, I'm going to say is the Big Ten.

But the bigger and more important question is which conference has the most depth when it comes to really good teams?

Because after the top four teams in the Big Ten, the drop-off is pretty evident, not just by record, but by eye test as well.
