How about number six Penn State against number 11 SMU?

It's the noon game Saturday afternoon.

At Penn State, the Nittany Lions, an eight and a half point favorite.

Trevor, how'd Penn State get here?

Yeah, I mean, it was a weird journey for Penn State.

You know, they started out the season 7 and 0, but they had some close calls, right?

Like they beat Bowling Green at home by a touchdown.

They went to overtime against USC in the Coliseum.

They ended up winning that game 33 to 30.

And then they lost to Ohio State in the first week of November, 20 to 13.

And there were a lot of people talking about, well, Penn State still deserve it.

They only lost by a touchdown.

Well, if you watch the game, similar to how we talked about some of the Indiana scores

and some of the Notre Dame scores, that game was not as close as what 20 to 13 indicated.

They didn't score an offensive touchdown.

Their only touchdown of the day came on a pick six.

And, you know, so there was a lot of question marks around how good is Penn State.

Their best win of the season is still to this point a 21 to 7 win over Illinois at home.

So, you know, going into the last week of the season, there was, you know, Penn State's going to make the playoffs.

We just don't know where they're going to fall.

Everybody was gearing up for that Ohio State Oregon rematch, excuse me, in the Big Ten championship game, unfortunately for our Buckeye friends and for Ryan Day.

They dropped the game to Michigan in an ugly fashion at home the last week of the season, which entered Penn State.
