I'm Stuart Mandel, joined by Bruce Feldman, the morning after the first Saturday, first full Saturday of college football season.

We've got a lot of action to talk about, Bruce.

Towards the end of the podcast, we will address the fact that on a Friday afternoon

before a holiday weekend, the entire postseason model of the whole sport got changed.

But we want to start with the football.

Okay, so I went into the day thinking, you know, certain games would be the highlight games and others wouldn't.

So what were those games that you were expecting?

Well, obviously, Ohio State Notre Dame was the headliner.

And I was really excited for Oregon, Georgia, and that was over in about 10 minutes.

But I do think the game of the day, well,

the game of the day could be argued that it was U.N.C. Appalachian State, 6361, or if you're like a

real morbid sicko, Iowa, South Dakota State. But no, I think it was Florida, Utah, which I was

interested in going into the to the day, obviously, Utah being my playoff pick.

I'm not sure that's going to happen now.

Anthony Richardson, you've been hearing about him for a long time.

I frankly thought it a little bit premature that he was showing up on some first round projections

when he had barely played last year. Now I get it.

Yeah, I thought he was the star of the first day. You know, there are other people who had

more impressive stats. I'm not sure anybody who's more impressive highlights in terms of the

playmaking skills.

Like he was a guy who was on our top 50 freaks list because he's 6'4, he's almost 240 pounds.
