This week, the international focus of the war has shifted from Gaza to Columbia University and UCLA,

and it is spreading a wave of protests hits American universities.

We will focus on that.

And also, the question of a hostage deal, again, seven months into the war.

And I'm Jonathan Friedland of the Guardian in London.

It's unholy. Two Jews on the news. We're back from, well, an unusual Pessach break,

pass-over break. We talked about it beforehand, how this year was different. And I'm looking at

the calendar, Yoni, and I just see there's other big days ahead of us. Some meant to be joyful,

some meant to be somber, but all of them now look different.

Even just when you look at the kind of dates ringed on the calendar, they look different

coming, you know, when you look at them through the lens of, as you said, seven months on from October 7.

Yes, I mean, it was a very unusual, I think, and sad, Pesach, in a way, right,

every sort of line of the haggada echoing October 7th. And now, as you say, we are looking

forward into the Israeli calendar, soon Holocaust Memorial, and then the Memorial Day for fallen soldiers

and Independence Day, all in the shadow of October 7th and the war.

It's going to be a very, very different Independence Day.

This year, celebrations very much muted.

I remind you that even last year we were talking about a very

complicated Independence Day in the shadow of a society torn apart by the judicial reform.

Really, little did we know, I can't stress this enough, little did we know that this independence

day will be even worse. Yeah.
