Joining us now here on Locked on SEC is a guy who expects to be the starting center

for the Auburn Tigers this coming season, spends five seasons at South Florida. He was a full-time start of the past two seasons at center. Was named third team all conference last season. He is Cole Best, one of the newest Auburn Tigers. Cole, welcome in, man. How are you? I'm doing great. Appreciate you guys for having me. Absolutely, man. Let's just start here. What's these past few months kind of been like for you, getting settled in now in your new home of Auburn, Alabama?

Yeah, so it was a quick transition. I was kind of sitting there after last season for a while, waiting to hear if I was going to get this extra year of eligibility.

So a lot of uncertainty there, kind of, you know, just sticking in my day-to-day, trust in the process. And then once I did get that confirmation that I was getting the extra year, I kind of knew what my decision was going to be. And I wanted, you know, go play, number one, with the coaching staff that I've been with and who I'm loyal to. And number two,

I, you know, it was kind of already the plan to go to an elevated conference, elevated level

of competition, especially, you know, for plans further on beyond just college football. So it was,

it was a really quick, you know, turnaround, very quick process. We're talking 24, 48 hours by the time I made

the commitment official to having to pack all my stuff up and kind of, you know, drive up to Auburn.

But it's been really good. I'd say, you know, having a lot of that same staff that I had at the
