Number one, the Republican Revolt. President Trump's nearly $1.8 billion fund to compensate his allies

has now become so toxic inside his own party that is actually derailing his agenda.

Senators left for the Memorial Day recess without taking up the ICE funding that they've

been trying to pass along party lines. The frustration was so palpable on Capitol Hill,

it wasn't clear they could get the 50 votes yesterday. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche

Blanche had a private meeting to try and ease

concerns, but he made zero headway. Mitch McConnell calling it a slush fund that it is, quote,

utterly stupid, morally wrong. Senator Tom Tillis echoing that statement.

Look, under what circumstances would it ever make sense to provide restitution for people who were either

pled guilty or were found guilty in a court of law? These people don't deserve restitution.

Many of them deserve to be in prison. Some of them deserve the pardon because they were over-prosecuted.

But this is, I mean, this is just stupid on stilts.

Now the anger caps off a week where Trump also riled up his own party by backing primary challengers to Senators Bill Cassidy and John Cornyn.

Well, now the president's $1 billion request for ballroom security is also on thin ice.

When asked if he had lost control of the Republican

Party, the president only said, I don't know. Number two now, the autopsy. Things aren't exactly

sunshine, though, in roses for Democrats either. CNN has obtained and published the DNC's

long-awaited 2020-24lection autopsy, a flawed and incomplete report

that party chair Ken Martin once refused to release, while Martin now says withholding it

created more controversy, admitting, quote, it does not meet my standards. The 192-page report

also includes a disclaimer that it reflects the views of the Democratic

...
