The key issue that a lot of Republicans are going to raise, which is, wait a minute, we've

heard of these huge payments, 50,000 a month, maybe more, coming just from Burisma in Ukraine.

We've heard of tons of money from China, all sorts of money coming to Hunter Biden from

shady foreign actors, and did he pay taxes on all of that?

Is the only problem here that he was late in filing his returns for a couple of years,

and it's now pleaded to misdemeanor.

So Republicans are going to say, this is a slap on the wrist, there's got to be more there.

Good luck with that.

We are fortunate that for whatever reason we don't feel like we need to live in a world

of breaking news.

And something's either important or it's not.

And I kind of feel like if nobody's going to remember a story later this afternoon, let

alone a year from now, why talk about it.

But Hunter Biden has pled guilty to a couple of different things.

And I was looking at Jonathan Turley's evaluation of what has just happened, and he seems to

feel like this is a good way for a hunter to end this scandal and end this scandal without

jail time and have it just kind of go away and nobody's going to have to look into it any

further, which is troubling years of investigation into Hunter appeared to have evaded any serious

inquiry into the influence peddling operation of the Biden family.
