I'm Naroprendegas and I'm today joined by Katie Balls and Fraser Nelson.

Donald Tusk was giving a speech earlier and he had quite an interesting line in it.

Let's have a listen.

By the way, I've been wondering what that special place in hell looks like for those

who promoted Brexit without even a sketch of a plan how to carry it safely.

Fraser, what did you make of that?

It was a pretty extraordinary thing to say, especially at this stage in negotiations.

You've got Theresa May about to arrive in Brussels tomorrow.

And what does she get, as a welcome, Donald Tusk, talking about Brexiteers going to hell?

Now, sure, you can say he was referring to the Brexiteer leaders.

That will be people, of course,

in the cabinet, senior politicians, but not, he might say, all Brexiteers. It wasn't Theresa May herself,

who, of course, didn't campaign for Brexit in the referendum. But still, this sets incredibly bad blood and doesn't really prepare to reason why to think she's going to get

much of a good reception when she turns up. The question is why he decided to do it. He kind of

billed it as a sort of thoughtless aside, but then he tweeted it separately to make sure that the

Brexit and hell message was well understood.

If Donald Trump had said something like this,

everybody would be condemning him for using incendiary undiplomatic language.

So, you know, you can't use these analogies in diplomatic situations and not expect that a big response.

So I'm not quite sure I'll have much of an effect on British public opinion.

If anything, it will probably be like an Obama moment, where Barack Obama said the Britain could get
