0:06.0 | So I want to go through some of the differences, but they're both really, really good oils, but have slightly different purposes. |

0:15.0 | Olive oil is heavy on the omega-6 fatty acids, which typically will cause inflammation. |
0:22.0 | But olive oil is one of the only oils being omega-6 that will not cause inflammation. |
0:28.0 | It's an anti-inflammatory, so it's 78 percent model saturated. |
0:33.0 | Coconut oil is 92 percent saturated fat. |
0:38.0 | And honestly, saturated fat is not a bad thing, okay? |
0:43.0 | It's very stable. It will not increase bad cholesterol. |
0:47.0 | It will not clot your arteries. It really has no side effects. |
0:51.0 | Despite being a saturated fat, it's not the type of fat that will cause heart attacks or insulin resistance or anything like that. |

1:07.0 | So phytonutrients are those extra nutrients that give you extra health benefits that go beyond vitamins and minerals. |

1:19.0 | Alex is no protein. There's very little vitamins except there's some vitamin E and there's no minerals. |
1:25.0 | It's mainly healthy fatty acids, which are essential. |
1:29.0 | That means your body can't make them, but it needs them. |
1:32.0 | So it has olic acid, 83 percent, litalinic acid, 21 percent, |
1:38.0 | palmitic acid, 20 percent, and there's several other ones as well. |
1:43.0 | So it's healthy in that it gives you these fatty acids that are essential. |
1:47.0 | But the biggest benefit for olive oil is the heart benefit, supporting a healthy heart. |
