Today on the podcast is the distinguished Coach Elizabeth DeBole!
Elizabeth DeBole is a highly accomplished and respected coach known for her exceptional work with Stanford's women's distance runners. As the head women's cross country coach, she has led the Cardinal to three consecutive top-five NCAA finishes, including a podium-finish of fourth in 2017. Her coaching prowess has resulted in numerous accolades for her athletes, with several setting school records and earning All-America honors. Elizabeth's coaching extends beyond the track, as evidenced by her athletes' academic achievements and recognition. With her own impressive background as a former All-American athlete, Elizabeth has transformed Stanford into a sought-after destination for young running talents. Her dedication to her role as a coach and her commitment to the success of her athletes is evident in her consistent track record of accomplishments.
In today's conversation we go into Coach Liz's upbringing in the sport, her successful years running at Georgetown, her time under Coach Milt, how she got into coaching The Farm, what she's doing with recruiting now, and much more. This conversation was super insightful, and so much fun to have! I hope you all enjoy it as much as we did having it.
