Little did he know that his time behind the scenes at CNN would illuminate how news is actually manufactured. So, Kerry, thanks so much for joining us.

Can you walk us through your journey at CNN

and how you ended up becoming a whistleblower?

I'm honored to be here and discuss this with you

and your loyal viewers across the spectrum. So for a 30,000 foot view, just basically I got the job. I have a background in

civil engineering and electronics when I worked in the Navy for over a decade and basically

partly that experience into a job at Washington, D.C. Bureau. I was a contractor with third-party

company, but I had the same CNN badge to get into the building that everyone else, just a different

color. But I had a CNN badge, press credentials, Senate pass, all the stuff that any normal

journalists would have. And again, admittedly, I was pretty far on the left, registered Democrat, a campaign for Bernie.

I think I sent you some of those now embarrassing photos of me in a caucus back in the day.

But up, there it is. So yeah, definitely had some great times, I believe, in whatever I do at the time.

And came there to basically do my part to take down the orange man bad. You know, I wanted to do

everything I could to take down Trump because at that time I saw him as the greatest threat to

our democracy or pick your talking points at any of the mainstream networks. But within a few
