Well, hey everybody, welcome to episode 148 of the podcast. My name is Carrie Newhoff and I hope our time

together today helps you lead like never before. Well you know one of the things

that keeps changing is staffing in the church.

And I remember even a decade ago, probably one of the most undervalued positions

was anybody who worked in children's ministry and man has that changed and so we're

going to talk today to Jim Wideman about staffing your church for the next generation

because one of the challenges a lot at churches have is if you're not

reaching young families you're not growing and I know for us that staffing at Connexis Church

where I serve staffing our kids ministry and our student ministry well has resulted in like

incredible growth. Our fastest growing demographic over the last number of years has been in

young families.

Why is that?

Because we have been able by the grace of God

to have an incredible team in place.

But challenges, a lot of churches don't really value that.

They don't know what skill set you need. So Jim
