Well, hey everybody and welcome to episode 109 of the podcast. My name is Carrie Newhoff and I hope our time together today helps you lead like never before.

And today, I know a lot of you have been waiting for this for a while because you've heard rumored that I'm going to be interviewing

Chuck Swindall and today is the day. What an incredible honor and privilege to

actually have a conversation with Dr Swindall with Chuck and I mean man

when his team reached out and said hey got a new

book coming out do you want to do an interview I thought yeah I'm free that day

absolutely so what a thrill to be able to do it and you know few people have had the legacy that Chuck Swindall has in our generation and one of the things I talked to him about at the very end of the interview is just, you know,

how do you finish well? I mean, you know, he has now led for done ministry for over six decades.

That's like crazy. And in an era where a lot of us are trying to

finish well and where burnout seems to be more and more prevalent I'm just

absolutely thrilled for people like Chuck Swindall and like you I have really benefited from his messages

over the years so he is talking about a new book called Searching the

Scriptures that he'll talk about a lot on this interview but I got to tell you if you are

looking for a practical guide to help your congregation just learn the basic tools of

Bible study or maybe you're one of the growing number of church staff who just never went

to seminary. I think I can say this is like the best Bible boot camp outside of

Old Testament and New Testament 101 that I've ever seen.
