I'm in Livermore, California.

What's the name of that city?

I don't think I've ever heard of that city before.

It was founded in around the mid-19th century, literally by guy named Robert Livermore.

And it was a cow town for a long time.

And then they put a Navy base training Navy base here in the middle of the valley,

50 miles from the ocean.

And then it was kind of vital, and that's where they decided to put the second atomic weapons lab on a square mile of land.

And the story they like to tell is that they were afraid the Navy would want their base back.

So the first building they built was in the middle of the runway.

So it couldn't be used as a runway anymore. Wow. So it was a Caltown and then a nuclear

weapons lab town and now it's largely more than anything a bedroom community for Silicon Valley.

Have you been there a long time? Yeah, to my surprise, I'd been here 15 years longer than I've lived anywhere,

which I never would have expected to actually be in California this long.
