I want to talk to you today about one of probably the most overrated things I think people talk about when it comes to healing.

And that, my friend, is closure.

People say, you know, I want to have that conversation for some closure. People say, you know, I want to have that conversation for some closure.

Or I want to just like meet up with him one more time to find out why he broke up with me.

I need that closure.

Or I see that they left my message on red and they didn't respond and I want to just

find out why I want to ask a question because we need closure. I feel very very

differently about this because this is what I know to be true.

Apologies and closure whatever it is you're hoping or expecting or wishing for

don't heal you. You heal you. And sometimes I think the dating world

is a good example of this because you know it can be a volume

play there are people who ghost you there are people who orbit you this is an

expression I learned from my Cosmo editorial team they say orbiting is when you go on a date with someone, when they don't

get back to you, they don't call you again, but they watch your stories and like your

Tik-Tocks and stuff. It it's madness all these different ways of being in the world

but if someone ever says to me I want closure I say okay do you know what you do this is

I get closure you look in the mirror and you say it's closed.

You give yourself closure.

You know, if you have ever had an addict in your life, maybe a relative, maybe a friend,

you'll know the many many emotions that come along with a roller coaster that can be addiction.

And I lost my father to drug and alcohol addiction when I was 19. And as an adult, that was 20 years ago,
