I'm Mick Garris and this is Postmortem.

There are very few true originals in the arts.

For an artist, a writer, a filmmaker, or a sculptor, it is rare to find a creator whose

stamp is so distinctive that his or her authorship is evident at a glance.

Whether painting with words or with oils, the canvas is a mirror to the artist and to the

consumer of that art as well.

Of those rare creators, a tiny percentage of them are equally gifted in many of the arts,

and our guest today is one of that small group of one of a kind creators with an indelible

signature.

Since our conversation with Stephen King, by far, our most requested guest is Clive Barker.

My first exposure to his work was when Cynthia gave me one of his books of blood, Volume

4 to be precise, for Christmas, and it was emblazoned with a quote from King himself,

I have seen the future of horror and his name is Clive Barker.

Boy did Steve know what he was talking about.

Clive has established himself not only as a brilliant and original author, but is an equally
