somebody that we were all following his case for quite a while and we have Clint Lawrence,

former lieutenant, actually former captain in the United States Army and we'll get into all that in just a second but

Clint was unfairly dealt a big blow by the army and he was I would say unlawfully convicted of a war crime in

Afghanistan but luckily after six years of spending time in Fort

Leavenworth he was pardoned by President Trump and we're going to talk about all that and we're going to talk about his case. We're going to talk about he just wrote a book called Stolen Honor and we're going to talk about that as well and

Well, it's an honor for us and we're so glad we're talking to you as a free man.

We were talking offline just a minute ago and you're getting ready to start law school and

you know you were talking about seeing deer in the distance and that's the kind of atmosphere we want you to be saying not the inside of a cell.

But let's get into a little bit I want you to fill in our listeners about your early military career because you started as an enlisted man

And you know, we'll just talk briefly about that fill us in about your early military career.

Yeah, so I always wanted to be a state trooper all throughout high school and I thought that was what I was going to do and then you know

9-11 happened and I thought that you know maybe I should go join the military and

contribute and so that's what I did and and I intended on just doing a couple of years and then getting out and then going back to Texas and being a state trooper.

But I got in the Army and I enlisted as an E-1 and I just
