I'm here with Coach Dabo Sweeney, and Coach,

it's been a big year for you, but I would love for you

to take us back to the beginning when you got the job and you were meeting with the board of trustees and you shared your vision.

Tell us about that story.

Well, um, am I, can you see me just looking right at it?

Okay, all right.

This, you know, this is, you can see on the bottom,

this says free test, because they're just trying to figure out

if they want me to really be on this thing.

So whoever's watching it, this one's a free one here, I guess, for me.

I'm not sure they want me in the Zoom cycle here.

But you know, I tell tell you it's crazy to think back to how far we've come you know eight years ago

But really you know I got the job as an interim coach. You know, I was just kind of, you know, here and there was a change made and the leadership, the AD came in and said,

hey, you know, I want you to be the head coach for the next six, seven weeks.

And, you know, he really empowered me because I went into the meeting thinking that it was going to be just, you know, hey, do the best

scan, but he really empowered me and that, hey, listen, you know, I think you can do this job.

So I end up getting the job, and so now I'm in a board meeting and my first board meeting and I didn't really know any of the gentleman in there or the ladies and you know there was just a comment made I'm

just kind everybody was you know just wishing me well and all that type of stuff and

but there was a comment made by one of the board members that still just kind of rings in my

mind right now and to me it was a a clear indication of where we were and just more emphasis to me of where we needed to go.
