Hello listeners and welcome to this collection of classic short stories

which I originally read for podcast on an old show of mine called Mike Bennett's sometimes

which is why I've called this podcast the Sometimes Stories.

While I was lifting the stories from those old podcasts I heard a few snippets of a segment that I used to do called What's in my Fridge, and I thought,

why not add those segments to these new podcasts too?

Well, obviously, one reason for not adding them is because they have absolutely nothing to do with the stories themselves.

But why let practicalities like that stand in the way of recycling perfectly good material from 2007 onwards.

Now you may wonder why I didn't just post those sometimes episodes here in their entirety

rather than you know pulling bits out of them.

And the answer is simple because they're full of massively outdated news about things that I was doing you know over 10 years ago

so not really interesting for a contemporary audience anyway, the fridge recordings were made in numerous rental properties my wife and I lived in over the years from such exotic locations as Dublin and Haywood Ceeth, and the things in them offer a unique and

fascinating insight into my dietary habits at the time unless you find such things

totally unfastinating and couldn't care less about them and so for that

reason anytime there is a fridge installment and there isn't one on this episode it's

right at the end of the podcast after the story has finished so you could just ignore them if you prefer.

Oh and one other thing before I go another small nugget of information you probably

could care less about the what's My Fridge segments remain with the story

that they originally shared a sometimes podcast episode with. And these

stories don't include the readings of HB Lovecraft that I did on that podcast.
