Thank you for being with us today.

Bob, you've got a fascinating backstory.

You were at one time a minister of a Baptist church.

So tell us about your early faith development and what happened after a period of time.

Well, I attended a conservative Baptist Association church they had splintered off from the American

Baptist churches or I guess at the time national Baptist during the fundamentalist modernist

controversy and so they were pretty darn conservative and I got converted as an adolescent

I guess, so it was about 10 or 11 years old and I was soon fascinated by the Bible and

I was witnessing and praying and the whole thing and I during some youth meeting we had

some kind of a film about apologetics I had never heard of this before and they give

a standard thing about the supposed dates and accuracy of the gospels and that there

was really no denying that Jesus lived and rose from the dead and so forth and that
