1:23.6	And the big conversation partners that I'm sitting down with tonight are John Lennox and Michael
1:28.3	Roos. John Lennox is a professor of mathematics at the University of Oxford, a well-known
1:33.4	Christian thinker and speaker. He's the author of books such as God's undertaker, has science
1:38.6	buried God and gunning for God, why the new atheists are missing the target. He argues that science and our
1:45.4	increasing knowledge of cosmology and biology is consistent with the view that a divine mind is
1:50.7	behind the ordered universe we live in. Michael Roos is Professor of Philosophy of Science at
1:56.4	Florida State University. He's published books including atheism, what everyone needs to know, and
2:02.4	Darwinism, and recently on purpose, which is an exploration of purpose in philosophy, science,
2:08.7	and religion. As an atheist himself, he's nevertheless critical of the new atheist movement
2:13.8	represented by figures such as Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris, believing that a better
2:18.3	conversation between faith and science is possible. So tonight we'll be asking questions like,
2:23.8	has science replaced God as an explanation for life and the universe, or has the rise of the new atheism
2:29.9	sold the evidence for God short? I'm sure we're going to have a really interesting evening.
