and don't let anyone ever rip you off. And speaking of ripoffs, I get intensely angry when people rip off the elderly.

0:36.0

I have new information for you. I'm going to share with you in today's Clark Rage's moment coming up in just 20.

0:44.0

And a half hour from now, I'm going to share something crazy with you about a new way that things are likely to be delivered to you and the not too distant future and it's not by drone.

1:00.0

I talk right now about something that's been on my mind since I got a call a few weeks ago from someone who was one step away from being absolutely ripped off on putting solar in at his house.

1:20.0

The caller was asking me questions about putting the solar in and only in his side mentioned how much the quote was.

1:31.0

And I asked him if he lived in a giant mansion and he laughed because he was being charged or quoted what was probably four times what a solar panel system should have been at his house.

1:50.0

And so often when people decide they're going to get solar, they're talking to one salesperson and going with whatever that salesperson says, not a good idea.

2:07.0

Solar, on the other hand, has become potentially a great idea because the cost of the panels has dropped and dropped and dropped to the point where solar for the power you generate costs basically 10% of what it was just a few years ago.

2:32.0

It's phenomenal how much cheaper it is but the cost is not alone in the panels you need the company to design a system for your roof pay for their overhead pay for their installers all of that.

2:48.0

And so you need to know that getting multiple quotes is key.

2:56.0

The formula is widely available on the internet to figure out how many panels are appropriate for your house.

3:04.0

And then you can get quotes from multiple companies from energy sage, which is kind of like a kayak.com for solar power energy sage sage.com.

3:24.0

And so you're able to do comparison shopping company to company like for like in terms of how much solar you'd be generating at your house.

3:37.0

Right now there's a massive oversupply of solar panels. The manufacturer has built too many and that has even depressed the price of panels more than they would be otherwise right now.

3:53.0

And the efficiency of the panels has gotten so much better. One thing that I would stay away from or deals where you're offered the opportunity to lease panels.

4:07.0

And so you can see a roof I don't recommend that you don't have the money to pay for the system. There's a case where financing it 30% of the cost of the system you put in you get back as a federal tax credit.

4:22.0

And some states there's an additional state credit. And today you can even go to the step of having batteries that during the hours of the day where you're generating more solar more power than you can use at your house.

4:37.0

You store the excess on batteries at your garage and your garage. And then when the sun goes down you then get power from the batteries.

4:51.0

It's fantastic. And I've been a believer in solar from before it made economic sense. That makes me a partisan for it.
