I'm Mary Meckley and I honor you for being right where you are as you get ready to meditate.

And we are exploring this week the theme of fatigue.

Fatigue is likely to hit every now and then.

And when you think about the reasons why you may experience fatigue,

I welcome you to consider your third chakra.

Now, your third chakra is all about emotions associated with your passions,

your zest for life. Those things that get you up excited about life in the morning.

And if you are experiencing fatigue, emotional stress, pain, you may find it's not so easy getting up out of bed in the morning. And so that leads me to

share with you the other aspects of your third chakra. Now don't be afraid of the word chakra, if you've never heard it before.

Chagras are a term that's often used in yoga and meditation.

So the ancient yogis, or 5,000 years ago, thought that we must have some area in our body

where our emotions and memories are harbored.

Just as we have a physical spine that supports our organs and our organs have different functions,

well, they felt like the emotions must be harbored somewhere within the body in different areas.

So the area of your third chakra happens to represent, as I mentioned,

the emotions of excitement and passion and zest for life. And, as I want to share with you now,

I also harbor feeling as though you're agitated, angry,

neglect, and even abuse of power. And these are emotions that are going to zap your energy.

They're going to thwart your passions

and dampen your all-important zest for life.
