Welcome to today's daily guided prayer.

On Fridays, as a church home community, we participate in communion together.

Communion is simply a tradition that the church has upheld for over 2,000 years.

The Christian church has taken a moment to partake in bread to represent the body of Christ

and juice to represent the blood of Christ.

So if you want to take a moment to gather these elements, you can use whatever.

There's nothing sacred about them.

Any type of cracker or bread or piece of something and some water or juice or

some wine doesn't have to be fancy. What activates it is our faith. I would also love to encourage

you to do this with some family, your roommates, share this with a friend, participate in these

moments of communion together.

So take a minute, close your eyes, and settle in.

Expect that God wants to speak to you

and do something supernatural in you

in these next few moments of your day.

With communion, the bread and the blood represent the broken body and the shed blood of Jesus

on the cross. And so as we ingest these elements, we are truly bringing him into our

body. We are ingesting him. We are welcoming all of who he is into all of our lives. With that in

mind, listen to the words of this verse. 1 Corinthians chapter 14 and verse 33 declares,

for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. Let me read that again. Our God is not a God

of confusion, but He is a God of peace.
