Hey friends. Thanks for taking the time to listen to this clarifying episode of the

morning mindset. I have gotten a couple of concerned emails about a statement I

made on the September 13th episode where I made the a statement that conditions like cerebral palsy and ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's

disease are results of sin.

And I can understand why people were concerned

because there is a way in which the way that I said

that could be taken to mean something

I didn't mean at all. So I just want to clarify what it was

that I meant because I appreciate the opportunity to clarify because I don't

always get that opportunity and what I am not saying is that anyone who has such a horrible disease or condition or other diseases

or conditions are in the situation they're in because they have sinned or because their parents have

sent or anything like that. What I was referring to is that the Bible teaches us

that before sin itself came into the original creation way back in the Garden of Eden, everything was perfect.

Everything, even the human body. Disease and sickness did not exist.

But something about creation became broken once sin entered the physical plane.

We don't totally understand how all that works, but the earth began to yield thorns and thistles when mankind tried to cultivate crops.

Death became a reality that we would have to deal with as human beings and disease and decay

began to impact our physical bodies. Thus, those things, disease and decay, are

distortions of the body functioning properly and thus the body

has a disease or a disability as a result of sin coming into the world.

Cerebral palsy and ALS are just two examples of how the human body has been marred by the power of sin.
