Welcome to One Minute Scripter Study, a Come Follow Me podcast. We are your host, Kristen Walker

Smith and Callie Black. Hey, it's Callie Black here with today's thought. Let's open up to Moses

0:12.3

6, verse 43. For a class I took in college, we had to write two papers over the course of the

0:20.1

entire class. Before our first paper was due,

0:23.6

the professor strongly suggested that we meet with the teacher assistants or TAs to review our

0:30.5

work before turning it in. However, this seemed like a little too much work for me, so I didn't bother

0:37.1

meeting with a TA and I just

0:38.9

submitted my paper. When I got the grade on my first paper back, I did not like it. I realized I

0:46.7

had completely misunderstood one portion of the writing prompt. When our second paper was almost

0:52.8

due, I reluctantly signed up to meet with the TA. It was

0:58.7

free. It only took about 15 minutes of my time, and the TA told me exactly what to fix in my essay.

1:07.9

She also noted my name so that when I turned my paper in, she would be the one to

1:14.5

grade it. It was such a painless and easy process. And when I got that paper back, I received a

1:22.5

super high grade on it. But I was frustrated with myself for not meeting with the TA the first time around.

1:30.3

I imagine that Enoch maybe felt a similar frustration as he spoke to the wicked people that he was

1:37.6

trying to teach. Enick posed this really powerful question in Moses, chapter 6, verse 43.

1:44.0

The Lord, which spake with me the same is the

1:48.1

God of heaven and he is my God and your God and ye are my brethren and why counsel ye yourselves

1:56.2

and deny the God of heaven? In other words why are you trying to give each other counsel and

2:03.9

figure it out by yourselves when you have a loving God who literally wants to tell you the exact

2:10.3

things to do to make it back to him? We don't have to guess, but we do have to claim the help he offers us. So the takeaway of the day, in five words

2:21.8

or less, claim the help God offers. Thank you so much for being here today and for coming closer
