A New York Appeals Court has thrown out the roughly half-billion-dollar judgment against President Donald Trump

and the civil fraud case brought by the state's attorney general Letitia James.

However, Trump is still liable for fraud.

In 2022, James alleged that Trump, his adult children, and the Trump organization

inflated the value of its properties to obtain more favorable loan and insurance rates.

In a statement, the AG said she would appeal today's ruling, and Trump claimed, quote,

total victory on truth social.
