Indeed, scripture affirms that Christ bears all the incense of that authority, a crown of glory

and honor, a sort of truth and justice, a scepter of righteousness and authority, a crest of promise and consolation, a name of

prerogative and transcendence, and a title deed of absoluteness and finality, the Bible asserts that the administration of this world

rests entirely on the shoulders of Christ. So Christian activity and culture is simply a

recognition of and a submission to that fact. It is an active affirmation in word and indeed that Christ is indeed the

Creator and sustainer of the universe that even now he upholds all things by the word of his power, and that there is to be no

end to the increase of his

peace.

dominion is an everlasting dominion and his kingdom

endures from generation to generation.

He rules on earth just as he does in heaven,

for from him and through him and to him are all things.

There are two cities as Augustine asserted, the city of God and the

city of man, but there is only one kingdom as the king over all kings and the lord over all lords, God rules all

the nations of the earth. The lord has established his throne in the heavens and his sovereignty rules over all,
