Welcome to TMP chats. This is Jesse Stern with the Meditation Podcast. Hi, everybody. I'm running a little behind this week, and so I'm thinking we will combine this TMP chat with the meditation. I've been thinking a lot over this holiday weekend and the upcoming holidays that often this season comes with a break and routine.

0:31.4

A lot of time spent possibly traveling, maybe in busy or inconvenient ways, possibly seeing people that we don't

0:44.9

see regularly, and eating food that we don't necessarily eat on a regular basis.

There are a lot of ways to approach this kind of reset.

1:59.5

We're going to focus on two things. One is a physical

2:03.6

technique, and the other is a mental technique or a meditation technique. And so we'll start

2:12.5

with the meditation technique. This technique was first taught to me in the 90s by a musician named Brad

2:19.0

Hauser. He called it ninja self-acceptance. Now this is an ancient meditation technique rooted in

2:27.8

as far as I know Tibetan Buddhism and it's most commonly called relentless self-acceptance nowadays.
