My guest on this episode of the podcast is the wonderful makeup artist Siona Johnson King who is honestly one of the most

delightful people to spend time with. She has the most calming effect on any room, trust and believe. And the reason why I wanted

to get her on the podcast is because, well, I've known her feet for many years now, but it's because

I've always fascinated at unpicking the careers of people who have achieved, it was such high

status in what they do. So Siona is an incredibly busy makeup

artist who works with the biggest names in film and music, really the people that she's worked

with, that you would recognise all of them. She's incredible. And so to really go back to the

beginning where it all started, how she became a makeup artist, how she got on first shoots,

how she handled working with the biggest names in the world, because no one teaches you how to do that. It's a conversation I've been really wanting to have with Siona for a while.

So we talk about where it all started, her training, getting her foot in the industry,

as it were, how it all worked back then, meaning not in the digital world where you've got social media to help you along the way.

And we also talk about health, the discipline that she's learned in the dojo, how karate is such an important part of her life,

not only in keeping herself centered, but also in helping her with health.
