This is a podcast that recaps and celebrates the memoirs of badass, female celebrities

who have been torn down by tabloids, dissected by social media, and faced heartaches and

triumphs and come out of it all even stronger.

I'm your host, Chelsea Devantes, I am a writer, comedian, and filmmaker, and this week

we are book clubbing Sisley Tyson's memoir, written and published in January 2021, it

came out a month ago.

And days after this memoir was published, Sisley Tyson passed away at 96 years old.

She gave us so much in her life, including giving us her story.

And so we are ringing in Women's History Month with her book, which could truly be a historical

textbook taught in schools.

And I just really want to celebrate her in this episode and her 96 years.

And the book is so wonderful, not to mention.

It's a very compelling piece of art that will make you want to go vegan.

So keep that in mind.

White man, white woman, black man, black woman on the wrongs.

And we're holding on to the last row.

And those cities, this are being trampled on, I always think about.

And still, we hold on.

Okay, that's our strength, that's the reason we survive, because we will not let go of

that wrong.
