This morning, Andrew Desiderio has an important look at Senator Chuck Grassley.

At 91 would be one of the oldest senators to ever chair a committee with the I Republican in line to head up the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee in the next Congress provided, of course, Republicans win on November 5th.

But there has been some behind the scenes questions by both Senate GOP aides, as well as senators,

raising private concerns about his ability to once again lead the judiciary panel, which will play a

prominent role over the next two years, regardless of who's in the White

House, thinks Supreme Court nominations sing huge pieces of legislation from big tech regulation

to abortion rights.

Not surprising.

Anytime somebody who's older, you know, kind of has the ability to potentially take on

a gavel, there can be questions about whether or not they are fit for the job.

This has happened many times for both Republicans and Democrats.

Grassley's camp pushing back pretty hard against it.
