He was very disheveled and he was creeping out the neighbors. It was like two or three o'clock in the morning. He was going around locking door to door.

He said I have him walked up in my base or I have him chained up in my basement, laugh out loud.

That's something that somebody should be arrested for, you know.

He had gone missing prior to this time only for 24 hours.

We were 100% sure that it would have been in it was not him.

Hello and welcome to episode 84 of The Vanished.

40 year old Christopher Story disappeared from Newcastle, Pennsylvania on August 11, 2013.

Early that morning the police were called because Chris was outside knocking on doors in the neighborhood.

Several hours later there was a sighting of Chris walking along a dangerous road several miles away.

After that he simply vanished.

When his parents stopped by his home they found that he had his clothing laid out for a doctor's appointment that he had scheduled.

He also left behind his keys, medication and beloved dog Ariel.

So what happened at Christopher Story on August 11, 2013?

His family has been searching for what will be four years next month but they don't feel like four years has brought them any closer to finding out what happened.

This is Chris's story.
