It never dawned on me. I could not fathom that a parent could do this to another parent, let alone...

It was inconceivable to me that they could inflict such abuse on their own children.

And I had a rude awakening on November 20, 1987, when all of a sudden, the crime of parental kidnapping family abductions hit me like a sledgehammer.

And then of course the police reaction was even more frustrating.

And now 30 years later, I'm just hoping that I can see my children one more time.

And maybe see my grandchildren if I have any, and kind of see what kind of people they turned into.

Three-year-old Christopher and 15-month-old Lisa Maysaharious disappeared along with their mother Susan on November 20, 1987.

In part one, you heard from Philip Klein who was currently investigating their case.

He gave you an overview of the case and told you what they're doing right now to try to locate Christopher and Lisa May.

In this second part, you'll get to hear from Lou Zaharious who will tell you what it's been like searching for his children for 30 years and the toll that it's taken on him.

His story is heartbreaking, but there is hope and maybe you can help.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, approximately 800,000 children are reported missing each year.

99.8% of those children reported missing do come home. Out of the 800,000 children reported missing, the vast majority are runaways. And just 115 were victims of the stereotypical stranger abductions that we all worry about.

About 203,000 were abducted by family members. That's a huge number. Now most of those kids do come home and usually within a relatively short period of time. That's what makes as the Harry's case so unique.
