Luke 1:46–55 - And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord, [47] and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, [48] for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed; [49] for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. [50] And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation. [51] He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts; [52] he has brought down the mighty from their thrones and exalted those of humble estate; [53] he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty. You joined us in our Christmas season, and we are looking at the gospel accounts of the Christmas story. Today will be in Luke
0:22.7	Chapter 1, verse 46 through 55. So get out your Bibles. We'll be digging into that in just a moment.

0:59.5	verses 46 through 55, I invite you to pray with me that we will see what the Lord intends
1:05.1	for us to see today. Lord, as we seek to understand the story of Jesus' birth, we ask you to enlighten us,
1:13.3	to empower us, to give us eyes to see and ears to hear, and Lord, guide me as I teach,
1:19.6	to teach only what you would have me say. In Jesus' name, amen.
1:24.3	Or at Luke chapter 1 verses 46-355 this is an event that happens right after Mary visits her cousin Elizabeth,
1:34.8	who is the mother of John the Baptist, and John is in her womb, growing, being ready to be birthed,
1:40.8	and now Jesus is in Mary's womb, And Mary has been encouraged by Elizabeth, because Elizabeth
1:46.5	supernaturally knew that Mary was the mother of the Messiah, before Mary even said a word to her.
1:53.5	And what we're going to read today is Mary's response. And it's a song. It's a song of praise. Now think about
2:00.0	who Mary is. She's a peasant girl, most
2:03.0	likely, maybe 15, 16 years old, is pregnant without ever having lame with the man. God has come
2:09.6	to her through the angel Gabriel and told her she's going to have this child. What kind of
