Welcome to the American Campfire Revival.

So excited that you guys are here again with me tonight

of Christmas Campfire Revivals.

I always look forward to the end of the evening

when we can pray together as the family of faith

because we know that our hope does not come from military power.

It does not come from TikTok.

It does not come from popularity, money, accomplishments, or even from politics,

our hope for our relationships, for our family, for our communities,

for our states and our nation, our hope for eternity comes from God. So we pray to him

because he promises to answer and he says that he delights to answer the prayers of his

children. So if you're a child of God through humble, repentant faith in the Lord Jesus,

then I, and so happy to be here together with you. And as the family of faith, let's go to our Father in heaven and pray for his blessing.

But let's also pray that he helps us to do the intellectual and groundwork and heartwork

necessary for us to be effective tools in his hand to bring about the changes in the

world we're looking for. Let's pray. Father, in heaven, what an endearing term you've given us

to use to address you. When Jesus taught his disciples how to pray,

he said, our father, who art in heaven. Lord, thank you. Sometimes it feels like we're so far away from you

that so much distance separates us from you as we're here on this planet
