0:20.0	Well, this is going to be a different kind of Christmas sermon.
0:24.0	When we moved into the Lincoln Theater, we decided as a team to focus in this new season of ministry on the person of Jesus,
0:32.0	for our first season in here to put the spotlight on
0:34.9	him and we thought we would journey through his life as presented in the Gospel of
0:38.6	Mark. Now we knew that was going to bring some tension because as we approached Christmas in the narrative we would be
0:44.8	arriving at the cross at the time when most churches are focused on the major.
0:50.0	But we thought it's worth it, let's go for it.
0:52.4	And as we embraced that tension, we actually
0:54.4	started to look forward to it.
0:56.1	We thought, no, this is actually great.
0:58.7	And why is that?
0:59.8	Well, because at Christmas, we celebrate the reality that Jesus came, but it's only at the cross we fully understand the reason that Jesus came.
1:10.0	At Christmas we celebrate that Jesus is here, but it's at the cross we see why he's here.
1:16.2	He is the boy who lived, come to die.
