Well, I have waited until the final sermon of the year to preach my shortest sermon of 2025.

I'm going to preach for just a few minutes. We're going to receive communion.

And then there's a friend of ours named Jeremy who leads worship at ACC Birmingham, who's going to sing, Oh Holy Night.

And that's good news because last night,

Abby, who was just leading us, went down sick, amazing, like Christmas miracle that she's up

here leading us so strong the way that she is today. But I told the crew in Birmingham, I was like,

I got an announcement, I think I'm going to sing, oh, holy night. And, like, people were scared for their

lives,

as they should be, like about to walk out

and give up on the Christmas service.

And so grateful to have a friend with us.

And all we believe is gonna happen in this time

is that we are going to find rest in a season

for many of us of restlessness.

If you need a title for this sermon,

it's called

resting in Jesus. Resting in Jesus. And I don't want that title to come across tone deaf at all.

I realize that this is not a very restful time physically for most people, particularly for the

moms. Can we just shout out the moms who have been working for weeks to make every Christmas

dream come true? Every tradition has to be kept up. Come on, how many dads in the room are like

showing up to tomorrow? Like, I can't wait to find out how this goes because we have just been

so disconnected from the entire process. I know that we're tired.
