Well, welcome to the Prophecy Prose Podcast.

I'm Jeff Kinley, along, of course, with Todd Hampson, and we're excited to bring to you a bonus Christmas episode.

And so, Todd, we want to kick it off by just mentioning a couple of scriptures.

And then we're going to introduce a special guest we have for today's episode.

Music And then we're going to introduce a special guest we have for today's episode. Yeah, just starting with one verse, Isaiah 9-6.

It's frequently quoted at Christmas time.

And it's, you know, it talks about unto us, a child is born, unto us a son is given.

And people often are familiar with that, and they see that as Christmas.

The child is born, the son is given.

Obviously, that's the cross.

God so love the world that he gave his only gotten son.

But the rest of the verse talks about the government being on the shoulders.

And then Isaiah 9-7 goes into even more detail

about this future kingdom. So it actually has both parts to the Lord's coming, the first coming

and the second coming. And people often don't even realize that. So that's a pretty unique thing

where it ties Christmas to prophecy. And also, there's many ways in which

Christmas fulfills prophecy. So we're going to talk about that as well. And by the way, I got to,

I'm just getting over a cold, so please forgive my voice. It'll be better by next season.

Let's hope so anyway. Yeah. Hey, you know, that's a great point, though, you just made because

when we talk about Christmas, we often only talk about Christmas.

But in the prophecy that Gabriel gave to Mary in Luke chapter one, check this out.

He says, do not be afraid, Mary, if you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son.
