If you have your Bibles, would you please turn to Nehemiah chapter 6? We're going to be looking at verses 1 through 3 this afternoon.

And this is a very personal message for me. It's something that the Lord has really, I feel, spoken to me.

It's very raw for me. And I hope that the Holy Spirit through the living word of God

ministers to you as well. There is no doubt some of you here today that are extremely

discouraged. You're maybe even contemplating, you know, throwing in the towel, quitting it all.

There's some of you here today that need to be reminded that what the Lord has called you to do with your life and in your family is very, very important and that you shouldn't quit.

There are some of you today that are battling depression or loneliness or feeling down.

You need to be encouraged in the Lord to not allow the enemy to

bring you down. If you look at verse one of Nehemiah chapter 6, it says, now it happened,

and this is Nehemiah writing that when Sanballat, Tobiah, Gesham the Arab, and the rest of our

enemies heard that I had rebuilt the wall and that there were no

breaks left in it, though at the time Nehemiah inserts here parenthetically I had not hung the doors

in the gates that San Balot and Gashem sent to me saying, come, let us meet together among the villages in the plain of ono but they thought to do me harm so i sent

messengers verse three to them saying i am doing a great work so that i cannot come down why should the

work cease while i leave it and go down to you let's pray father in heaven in heaven, we ask that you would give us ears to hear what your

spirit would say to your church. I pray for those that are discouraged, Lord, that you would encourage them.

I pray for those that feel like they're sinking with the weights of the pressures of this world,

that you would lift them up. And Lord, may we leave here, filled afresh with

your Holy Spirit and further equipped for the work of the ministry that you've called us to be a part of.

And we commit this time to you now. Would you add your blessing to the reading and to the study of

your word? And we ask these things in Jesus Jesus name. And all God's people say,
