You know, Paris, Rorferts and Retrogrades, there's a new issue of Evie magazine out.

It's called The Sex Issue.

And according to Evie, which is a conservative Catholic Christian women's magazine,

they're giving their readers what they want and have always wanted,

which is to say that the left, the progressive left, has always held the corner of the market

on sex positivity.

That's how they put it, while Christians and conservatives have always held a corner of the market on marriage.

And both have exclusively held these domains to the detriment of saying anything positive about the other.

In other words, conservative Christians say nothing positive about

sex, according to Evey, as it articulates its rationale for this issue of the magazine.

And vice versa, the secular left never says anything positive about marriage. Now,

critics are, and I think I'm with them, mostly, are largely saying this is gross.

There are some sick images here, and it's unnecessary to accomplish its end.

Today's episode of Rules for Retrogrades is going to be all about the typical feminist-type conservatives.

I know that's a contradiction in terms, by the way,

like what's her name, Isabel Brown, who are out there saying, this is a really good thing.

We need more sex positivity on the Christian right.

And they're cheerleading it.

Now, I don't disagree with the conclusion that conservatives should not be against sex.

After all, it's a false dichotomy between sex and the family.

One is key to the other.

One is the efficient cause of the other. But it's not as true to say that conservatives need to be out there loud and proud talking about sex.
