On today's podcast, we're going to be talking about Christian R&R.

Hey, everybody today we're talking about two things that begin with an R.

It's not rest and relaxation, although those do sound very tempting this summer.

But we're talking about the rapture and the return, two key events that have to do with the

second coming of Jesus Christ.

Amen.

And it's the coming of Christ that we have been longing for since he left this earth after Pentecost, at the ascension.

And, of course, we've been longing for the rapture.

The Bible calls it the Blessed Hope.

Titus 213, the scripture tells us that we are to await the return of Christ.

And so when you talk about the return of Jesus, the Bible applies that to two different events.

It applies it to the rapture and it applies it to the Second Coming.

And of course, we know that those two events are separated by at least seven years,

maybe a little bit more than that.

But there are also some other differences between the two,

Todd, right? There really are. I mean, even if, and this helps because if people are studying it

and kind of lumping those two things together, if you do a careful study of scripture,

you can see just from scripture logically they have to be two separate events. For example,

the first coming was obscure and largely noticed.

Well, this is more of the first and second coming, but the first coming was obscure and largely

unnoticed, but at the second coming, every eye will see him. We read that in Revelation 17.

So there's some differences between the first and second coming. We have a whole chart of that
