Of course, you know, this time of year, the whole world knows that on Christmas we're celebrating Jesus's birth.

So we get our nativity scenes set up.

We may read passages from scripture on Christmas morning that tell about Jesus's birth.

We share with our kids that Jesus, who is God himself, came to earth as an earthly baby.

But I think for most of us, that's a, that's about as deep as it gets.

And I know for me personally, this is what Christmas was for years.

Is, you know, mostly about the gifts and the tree and the decorations and the peppermint mochas.

And oh yeah, that's right.

Jesus was born that day.

And that's the depth that I ever got.

And if I was honest, then the glory, the majesty, the pure joy and celebration of this season

kind of went over my head. I didn't fully understand why Jesus's

birth was so incredible and why it necessitates such a time of celebration. And so it wasn't

until I really started understanding reading scripture more throughout the year, really getting serious about my own

personal Bible study time, just throughout the year, not even related to Christmas.

But as I began to grow in my own faith, I began to see the significance of the gospel and the

gospel story and the amazingness that Jesus would come to earth

and die for a sinner like me and for a sinner like you.

When I really started to see the significance of that and the beauty of that.

And as I've studied the gospel now on a deeper level, and I have so much to learn, so far to go on this.

But as I have dug in deeper, I have realized really the richness and the depth that the gospel applies to my life on a daily basis.

And because of that, this has naturally caused me to take a deeper look
