Ave Maria Radio presents Christ is the answer with Father John Ricardo.

One of my favorite things to do as a priest is to journey with our brothers and sisters as they explore becoming Catholic in the RCIA program.

The oddity is that oftentimes those who come into the church are the best educated Catholics that

there are. It seems that what we need is something like R-CIA for Catholics, for those of us

who have grown up with the faith and have never really learned it. So I invite you to join

those coming into the church as they learn about the beauty of our faith and hope as well that

it will help to draw you ever closer to the

God who is truth and love.

I don't know where we'll go from tonight.

I'm really just trusting that both the Lord will lead me and also that you will take the time

to express to me those things that you would like us to cover.

So I would love to get feedback from you as to the things which either you're struggling

with or have questions on and then we can dedicate some time to those.

We'll certainly cover how to pray with Scripture.

We might cover or look at, you know, why it is that God so often seems to say no.

I'm open to the Spirit really kind of to lead us. Tonight I wanted to lay out some basics on prayer, and then much like we did last night, we had a meeting last night here for all the parents of students and religious ed, both in the school and in the after school and the family program, and it was kind of a night to lay out a vision for where we're going and what it is that we are to expect and what it is that I as pastor expects of parents.

Tonight's something similar.

It's kind of a beginning, maybe an encouragement for us to get some things in place that may not be in place, an incentive for us to commit again to doing some things that we all want to do.

I mean, we're here because presumably we either already pray, we'd like to pray more,

are looking for some help for prayer.

We do all those things.

So tonight is an opportunity just to kind of circle the wagons and do a little incentive
