Summary

Welcome to the fourth and final installment of our podcast series, 'Christ and Chronic Illness.' In this concluding episode, we delve deeper into the profound connection between Christ, healing, and the complex reality of chronic illness. Our journey has been grounded in the understanding that God's desire for healing is not to be equated with a prosperity gospel, nor is it a guarantee of immediate relief from suffering. Rather, we've explored how God permits sickness as part of His sovereign plan in a fallen world. Looking to Christ as the ultimate reflection of God's character, we've witnessed His ministry of healing, which served as a powerful demonstration of the ultimate reversal of the Fall—a promise that He, as the Second and better Adam, will one day restore both our world and our bodies to a sinless and eternal state. In this episode, we discuss the profit-driven nature of the medical system, often prioritizing pharmaceuticals as quick fixes rather than genuine health solutions. For many chronic conditions, looking beyond traditional medicine becomes essential, as it may not always provide comprehensive care.

Welcome to this episode of Real Christianity. My name is Dale Partridge. We are also having

know yet. Lord willing. But we are in a series, a four part series on finding Christ and Chronic Illness,

sharing a little bit of my story about what it's like to be chronically ill. And I have been suffering

from Moltoxicity. My wife was bit by a spider or something and had a full blown bullseye rash on her

leg. Two weeks later, it was bedridden with Lyme disease. That, as we know, is sexually transmitted.

0:53.6

That is likely passed off to me. I have another diagnosis of what's called babesia, which is

1:00.4

a blood infection. It's not contagious in the sense that, you know, I'm going to pass it off

1:06.9

to anybody. But it's one of the co-infections of Lyme disease. The other one is Bartonella.

1:17.4

There's a couple others that are pretty common. But that's the struggle that I've been having

1:24.7

since 2019 or so. And we've been sharing my story. Also Trevor, you want to share a little bit

1:32.0

just a background on your story if people are joining it for the first time. So yeah, I've struggled

1:35.9

with celiac and Crohn's for the past 10 years. I'd say for the last two to three years, it's been

1:44.0

mostly not disruptive. There's still issues. I still have to void gluten for the most part.

1:54.7

But really, generally, my health is back to where I want it to be. Praise God. But I've

2:01.2

also been dealing with migraine headaches since I was about 15 or 16. So that's been a little

2:07.3

over 20 years now for me. Which has gotten dramatically better even since the last year and a half

2:12.4

that I've known you. Yes. Yeah. Since we move from cottonwood to presky, it's drastically

better. I think there's like air quality factors. It plays a factor in it. Also, the fact that

elevation is like about 2,000 feet higher. So there's like a handful of things that have really

2:36.2

turned the tide for me. So it's been good. So we've been having conversations. I think episode
