I'm an idiot and I recorded the entire episode into one of the microphones that was not the one in front of my face that you're hearing me talk into right now.

So, I'm gonna sound very far away and echoey in the room that I'm in, which is ironic because we literally just put up soundproofing so this should have been the best audio that I've ever done.

But let's just look at this as a bittersweet bond voyage to bad audio and again apologies. I'm an idiot. Yeah, let's get to the episode. Sorry.

Hello and welcome to the Modern Micapodcast 4. If there's a September 23rd, 2021, otherwise no nows. And we've had dry holidays before. This one might take the cake. We have our choice of three, checkers day, dogs in politics day, or UK's national fitness day.

I like dogs in politics day. It kind of reminds me of that painting of the dogs playing poker. Here's the weird part. It's checkers day slash dogs in politics day. It's not like three different days. There are two different days there that I said.

So the the checkers of dogs in politics lobbies joined together and like, let's make this happen.

Who cares about these mediocre days? This is rockler challenge time.

That's right. We announced it on the last episode of the rockler hobby challenge. People already starting to post a couple ideas, some like early projects, you know, like taking shape already on Instagram. I've seen.

I see people like testing stuff out. So like people like practice. I did this on some like curve bending attempts, which is weird since we had a bent wood challenge in the past, but you can still bend wood for this one.

I see a lot of people post them like, oh my god, this came up the perfect time because like they were. I think a lot of people will think that because it's like kind of taking an idea and making it's giving you a reason to make something the perfect time.

Like there's always a perfect time you getting deeper into your home. So this is that perfect time.

What is the hash. Yeah, they should be looking for Chris.

Rockler hobby challenge all over. Oh, I thought it was rash. The hashtag rockler challenge.

Well, there's a hobby in the middle of it. Oh, there is. Man, I've been directing people in a way that was incorrect. I apologize if I've suggested that to anyone.

Hashtag rockler hobby challenge. Yeah, in the broad concept is everybody's got a hobby building stuff. Probably if you listen to this show, why else are you relating to us? Right. But you probably have another hobby or maybe a creative interest that got you into building to begin with.

And as one hobby tends to take the time of another, it's cool. I think to either take a take opportunity to go back to the thing that maybe you don't get to do as often or use this as an opportunity to say, hey, I've been wanting to try X, Y, or Z, maybe I'll build my way into getting into it.

I'm really excited about it. I think I said in the last episode, the cool aspect is personality. Everybody gets to show a little bit more about themselves.

And that's the part that is going to be like the community building thing because this one's a little bit less about come up with cool ideas for two by fours. Right. I think there's a little more of a community building challenge more than a

Like a builder resource challenge. It's a internal inspirational drive as opposed to a material or

Technique based starting point for a project. Exactly. But it's really exciting in that way, because we haven't done that style yet. So we're going to get some unique projects.

The most meta version would be making a workbench for woodworking. Yeah, so we've got to be a different hobby.
