Hello and welcome to the Modern Maker Podcast for Thursday, October 7th, 2021, otherwise

known as International Walk to School Day, which neither one of us can do.

Although I do sometimes walk the kid to school, actually only one time this year I've mostly

gone to work by the time school starts, but on the first day of school I did walk him

to school.

That's awesome.

You lived close enough to walk to school?

Oh, yeah.

It's like quarter mile or something.

So I was celebrating October 7th early.

Was it that way when you were a kid too?

No.

Well, like in middle school.

So middle school I always walked back from school because I was pretty close, but other

than that I was usually getting car rides from either my mom when I was a little kid or

then when I was older, like before I could drive, but it was in high school, like when I

have a older brother.

So like usually like one of his friends or him would give me a ride home.

How about you?

I lived about 15 minutes away from school.

So I never had that kind of situation.

I feel like that would really set it up to get in trouble.
