Let's open the word of God to 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2.

And I confess to you this is a bit of a challenge for me to bring you the message this morning

because it is full of so many truths.

And I'm always having a little bit of battle with myself because I have to kind of edit

as I go.

So much here is so very, very important.

On the face of it we're talking about the coming man of sin.

We're talking about the Apostle Paul who is writing concerning a man to come in the future.

He is identified in verse 3 of this chapter as the man of lawlessness who will be revealed.

He is identified as the son of destruction in the verse 3 and in verse 4 it says, describing

him who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called God or object of worship so that

he takes his seat in the temple of God displaying himself as being God.
