Summary

This is a time for us to act in light of our hope, that He is preparing for us a place where all of life will be redeemed. A time to show others—our families, children, friends, that our hope is sure—not false. It is a time we can write the days of our sequestering as ones of growth, strength, love, beauty because He is "God with us," and He is a rock, immovable, our refuge.

0:43.9	wanted to do a very short podcast today. I've been trying to do four podcasts a week on during
0:49.7	this time of COVID just to kind of be as though the hands of God were coming along beside you
0:56.4	and holding you because you know what we are because we're filled with this spirit of God
1:02.5	and the spirit of God prompts us to love, to give, to help as he would. He prompts us to do what he
1:09.5	would do. We have this capacity to encourage one another and I have been praying a lot about how I
1:15.9	can be an encouragement to you because I do know what it's like to go through many seasons of
1:22.1	difficulty and many seasons of straining towards God's goodness but I just wanted to do a very short
1:32.0	podcast today and I've been hearing a lot not so much actually from where I live. I think that
1:41.1	culturally there are different voices going around but I do know that in a time like this we are
1:47.4	tempted to fear and to despair or to to justifying our sin or our weakness or to criticizing people
1:59.2	or to accuse them but what I found in my own life is that as I look back on all the hard times and
2:06.2	stuff I didn't have control of life I am not God I am not the person managing the whole universe
2:13.6	and also managing all the people who influence my life and so no matter what the outcome of
2:22.4	this coronavirus is whether we have a debilitating economy or whatever happens whatever kind of
2:30.0	world is asked or whatever a day holds every day that those of us who know the hope of Christ that
2:37.2	He is with us that He will never leave us or forsake us that He that He will champion us every day
2:47.5	we have the choice of walking as though we believe in that and living as though we believe in that
